Ideas for Research Paper

I am doing a research paper in my EMG 445W class and it's over literacy.  I want my paper to be over deaf students and literacy but I'm not sure exactly how to word my thesis.  I can't get the words on paper that I want.  I want my paper to argue how some schools are allowing deaf students enough education to be on the same literacy level as hearing students.  Does anyone have any ideas or articles I could use?

    How does language impact a students' reading comprehension? How does deafness impact language development? What role does vocabulary play in reading? How does deafness impact vocabulary development? What method of reading instruction best meets the learning style of students who are Deaf? Does a student who is Deaf and use ASL face any challenges when reading in English? How does a child who is Deaf struggle with figurative language? How does ASL or Signed English help a child develop reading skills?

    There ARE articles and links on Blackboard in the folder for the week that we studied this in class as well as information in the book relative to this as well.
