missing grades?

Is anyone else missing grades? I feel annoying when I keep bugging her about them but I think she forgets. And i'm one of those ocd people that stress about my grades.

  1. I think we all have a little bit of OCD in us when it comes to grades. But to make you feel better I am also missing grades. Everyone is so busy right now so I understand. I'm sure she will get some more up soon!

  2. I will do my best to get caught up this weekend. Here's a bit of an explanation.

If people do not submit assignments via Blackboard they do NOT get graded in the same timeframe as others. I only go back and go through email periodically to "fill in outlyers." The lesson - use the Assignments tab and submit assignments in a timely fashion and you will receive your grades that way.

Secondly, my challenge is having two classes Spring semester each year. This year they put two sections of SED260 together giving me over 70 students. That is the amount of grading I am doing in addition to a full time job where I am currently working 13-16 hour days. Not your worry or responsibility - only an explanation from me.

There ARE times when I do have to give my mind a break or you would not want me to grade your paper.

You are ALWAYS welcome to remind me about your grade. It doesn't maen I will stop right then and do it. :) Just as I expect each of you to read every chapter and review every resource that I take the time to put on Blackboard to prepare each week to teach I know you expect me to grade your work as quickly as possible. We don't always meet each other's expectations in exactly the way the other would "expect." Hopefully, we meet somewhere in the middle so that you learn and understand the content in this course in a way that you can meaningfully apply it to the real world.

Feel free to send me any notes. ANYONE who is missing a grade SHOULD EMAIL ME!!! They are kept and help me when I sit down to do grading to ensure that I include everything I need to do. I appreciate your attention to the learning of content as you do to your grades -BIG GRIN-.

Thanks for sharing this here so I have an opportunity to explain how I review your learning to communicate how well you are doing - or as many folks call it - grading! :)

    Have a great weekend!
