Beethoven
I thought it would be a cool idea to do a little research on Beethoven because I thought that even though he didn't lose his hearing until he was an adult, that he definitely sets an example to anyone that boundaries only exist if you make them! He composed some of his best symphonies while being completely Deaf! In school I was told that he sawed the legs off a piano so that he could lay on the floor and absorb the vibrations of the music! I find that to be incredibly amazing! He's one of the best composers of all time and he lost his hearing by the time he was 27! I think it's a good thing to keep in mind when educating any child...that those boundaries only exist because we've created them. Three cheers for Symphony No. 5!

That was awesome. I did not know that he sawed the legs off of a piano to feel the vibrations better. I remember watching this one movie where he was a crazy guy who could play turned around, not facing the piano and play that way.
