I think that I am in some ways similar to Marlee Matlin. One way is that even though she is a famous actress she is a down to earth person. She does not let her fame give her a big head. She likes to give back to her community and works a lot with organizations. Though I am not famous I have been in positions of power in work situations and have not let them go to my head. Like Marlee I work hard for what I want and do not let anything stop me from getting what I want.
I really like Marlee Matlin, she seems like someone that people can really relate to. She doesn't let her deafness change the way she looks at the world or how she her work.
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I'm sorry you had difficulty uploading your assignment but I REALLY appreciate you being willing to share it on the blog. I think this is a WONDERFUL opportunity for members of the class to get to know each other better and think about how all of us are similar or different from those who have contributed to the field of deafness.
