Intro.

Hi! My name is Chassity Wengert. I am an English Education major and an ASL minor here at eku. My graduation date is pending. So until then I am just enjoying my classes and putting off going out into the "REAL" real world! However, my first introduction into the deaf community was not until middle school. When I a deaf girl came to our school and was in all our classes. I was friends with her for a while until she transferred to KSD. Getting to know her prompted my interest in Sign and the language itself. So, when I came to Eastern and saw that it was an option for a foreign language I decided to go for it and absolutely fell in love with the language the culture and everything in between.
