Jesse Coyer's Intro

Hello SED 337!
I'm Jesse Coyer, but everyone calls me JJ.  I am a CODA and my major is ITP.  I am here because I want to be an interpreter, and hope to be accepted into the ITP program this fall.  I grew up in Deaf culture because both my parents are Deaf.  I feel that my experience growing up in Deaf culture, and knowing the language will help me become a skilled, qualified interpreter.  Already knowing and seeing the struggles of the Deaf, I want to become a interpreter so I can empower them, therefore, making them feel equal.
I look forward to working with all of you this semester!
